Tomorrow, September 22, is HAAM Day 2026—a citywide celebration of the musicians who make Austin the Live Music Capital of the World.
It’s also an important opportunity to do more than enjoy the music. Start your day by joining Austin Texas Musicians and the Kozmetsky Center for Civic Engagement at St. Edward’s University for an important conversation about the future of Austin’s creative community. Then, get out across the city to enjoy HAAM Day performances and support the local businesses helping musicians access essential healthcare.

Musicians, DJs and Music Teachers: Be Sure to Enroll in HAAM
HAAM Day is also the perfect time to remind Austin’s music community that HAAM membership is completely free.
If you are a working musician, DJ or music teacher living in Travis County or a surrounding county, you may qualify for HAAM membership and its healthcare access and wellness services.
HAAM members can receive:
Help enrolling in health coverage and paying insurance premiums
Free or discounted dental, vision and hearing care
Assistance navigating medical and mental healthcare
Medication cost support
Fitness and mind-body wellness services
Access to exclusive educational and social events
Eligible music professionals can apply throughout the year, and there is no cost to join.
