Austin Texas Musicians’ Board of Directors and Advisory Board bring together working musicians, music-industry professionals, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and experts in public policy, marketing, technology, and research—all united by a commitment to helping Central Texas musicians thrive.
Together, they provide strategic guidance, build partnerships, and help expand the funding, resources, and opportunities behind ATXM’s work in Advocacy, Education, and Economic Development. Executive Director
Founding Executive Director of ATXM, working musician, policy advocate, and former KVUE community-partnership leader who guides the organization’s advocacy, public policy, strategic partnerships, and musician-centered growth.

John "Moose" Dismukes
Vice President & Treasurer
Founder of Arching Dog Productions, artist manager, and producer who contributes expertise in artist development, live and recorded production, industry relationships, and musicians’ career needs.

Jose Garza
Secretary
Travis County District Attorney, former Workers Defense Project Executive Director, and musician who contributes public-policy leadership, government relationships, community engagement, and insight into public safety and working-musician issues.

Kyle Cox
Board Member
Managing Partner of ATP Fund and an experienced venture investor and entrepreneur who supports ATXM’s organizational scaling, technology initiatives, capital strategy, and national partnerships.

Board Member
Founder and owner of The Graphic Guitar Guys and a music-industry entrepreneur who advises ATXM on merchandising, visual branding, sponsorships, earned revenue, and artist entrepreneurship.

Mary McKeown-Christie
Board Member
ATXM Chief Marketing Officer, founder of Maven Marketing Solutions, and strategic growth executive with more than 30 years of experience who leads brand strategy, communications, audience development, fundraising campaigns, and revenue growth.

Marlon Montgomery
Board Member
Marlon Montgomery is an Austin-based media and technology professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning digital media, streaming platforms, and technology innovation. His background includes developing live and on-demand video solutions and mentoring entrepreneurs through the Founder Institute. Marlon brings technical expertise, entrepreneurial insight, and knowledge of digital distribution to ATXM, helping inform strategies for audience engagement, technology partnerships, and new opportunities for working musicians.

Board Member
Executive Director of the Borderland Rainbow Center and an experienced Texas nonprofit leader who strengthens ATXM’s inclusive community engagement, executive leadership, institutional fundraising, and national grant strategy.

Social-impact entrepreneur, investor, author, and founder of Interplanetary Help Desk who contributes expertise in mission-driven growth, community building, strategic partnerships, investment, and live-music fundraising.

Eric Booth
Advisory Board Member
Eric Booth is a Senior Research Analyst at Texas 2036 with a background in statistics, public-policy research, and program evaluation. His work includes studying education and public-health initiatives, analyzing complex data, and translating findings into practical insights. Also a working musician, photographer, cinematographer, and Senior Editor of StaticGrain Magazine, Eric combines analytical expertise with firsthand understanding of Austin’s creative community. He brings experience relevant to ATXM’s strategic planning, program evaluation, advocacy, and storytelling.

Leslie Hunt
Advisory Board Member
Leslie Hunt is a communications and stakeholder-engagement professional with decades of experience across nonprofit, civic, healthcare, education, and corporate settings. She founded and led the Postpartum Resource Center of Texas, building statewide coalitions and helping advance policy change. Her background includes communications roles with the Texas Medical Association and American Cancer Society, as well as teaching in Texas public schools. Leslie brings expertise in strategic communications, fundraising, coalition building, and community engagement to support ATXM’s advocacy, partnerships, and organizational growth.

Lauren Postler
Advisory Board Member
Lauren Postler is a strategic growth advisor and nonprofit leader with experience spanning fundraising, entrepreneurship, public policy, and organizational development. She serves as Strategic Advisor to STATION Austin and the Central Texas Spaceport Development Corporation, and previously held growth leadership roles at The LaunchPad at UT Austin, University of Austin, and PsychArmor. Her background includes teaching corporate and foundation fundraising at Rice University and leading multimillion-dollar nonprofit development efforts. Lauren brings expertise in fundraising, strategic partnerships, and sustainable organizational growth to ATXM.
