Join the ATXM community in supporting local musicians this Giving Tuesday. Help sustain the advocacy, education, and programs that keep Austin’s music alive.

As many of y’all know, this has without a doubt been the most challenging year our little homegrown nonprofit has had in our seven years of advocacy work. We came very close to closing our doors this summer, but after a ton of blood, sweat and tears, we’ve managed to raise enough to get us into next year.
Conversely, I also know that next year will be our most impactful yet, with
Expanded education/professional development programs,
A developing downtown “Green Room” Creative Hub,
Discounted parking, and
Safe escort to/from gigs.
More paid performance opportunities are on the way for y’all with several new venue partnerships, and we’re working on a tech solution for gear theft.
Our Night Shift Monthly Musician Mixers will grow, and we’ll continue to build the amazing community we’ve created here in this Facebook group for the past fifteen years.
I truly hope our work has been of service to you all….helping create the Live Music Fund, a city-standard $200 pay rate for all city-sponsored performances, lobbying for the Austin Music Disaster Relief Fund, jockeying unemployment benefits… it’s all been an honor to see what we’ve been able to create, together.
Asking for Your Engagement and Help
Now, we’re asking y’all to help us help Central Texas musicians with a sustainable path toward the future, so we can expand our educational programs, support quality of life initiatives and ongoing advocacy, grow staff, and develop technology to support membership content and booking services. We can’t do this work without the financial support of the Austin community.
Tuesday, December 2nd, is Giving Tuesday. Our fundraising platform, GiveButter, will match 1% of every dollar donated online that day, so we’re asking for your help to drive donations all throughout Dec. 2nd.

Sign up as an individual or create your own team and enlist help from others as a group effort! All tax-deductible funds donated will be tracked back to you for appropriate credit.
Ask for donations ON DECEMBER 2ND to capitalize on the 1% match.
If we can raise $1,500 each, we're in great shape to support the education, advocacy, and economic development initiatives we have on deck for the next few years.
Our mission is to grow the Austin Texas Musicians Fund to enable more programs, more direct support for musicians, and support for our partners with HAAM, SIMS Foundation, HOME and more.
Our big vision is to create an Austin that lives up to its brand as “Live Music Capitol of the World”: a place where musicians are nourished, developed, and elevated to a better quality of life.
We’ve come a long way in seven years, and I know we’ll be able to go the distance with increased staff, technology, and expanded partnerships. Thanks to each and every one of you for being a part of this journey and thank you for your help this Giving Tuesday. What an absolute honor it has been to serve.
