COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTS
Austin Texas Musicians has been working around the clock with City leaders and our music nonprofit partners to help inform, create, and navigate efforts related to COVID-19. ATM is working to help ensure all relief efforts support our entire Austin music community. We have created a live document that we are updating constantly that may be accessed here.

Austin’s Music Nonprofit Community Asks City Council To Support Item 91
Members of the Austin nonprofit community including Austin Texas Musicians, Black Fret, HAAM, The Long Center, Music Venue Alliance Austin, Red River Cultural District, The SIMS Foundation, and others write unified letter to City Hall
AUSTIN, Texas – The attached letter was sent to Austin City Council members this morning in support of Item 91, a resolution written by Council Member Jimmy Flannigan that seeks to help Austin’s creatives, musicians, artists, service industry workers, and other independent contractors find relief after the cancelation of 2020 SXSW and other cancelations due to COVID-19.
Austin’s musicians have long been supported by many amazing nonprofits dedicated to keeping Austin’s musicians healthy, developing, and rising to the top of our local scene and the national music industry. We are united today in supporting Council Member Flannigan’s resolution and grateful for his co-sponsors Council Members Mayor Adler, Natasha Harper-Madison, Greg Casar, and Paige Ellis.
While the Austin music community has all been struggling to find relief in various ways, Item 91 is the only City document that Austin Texas Musicians has given input on or currently endorses.
